I added a faint grain to the background of my site, but I keep thinking it’s too subtle and just looks like your monitor is dirty.

I think it looks good overall! Looks like far away stars. Only suggestion is maybe a very slight drop shadow on text, because certain glyphs blend in a bit with the background.
