We are ready to bring back a little bit of the old web as a shield against a web that feels increasingly like an ad engagement machine instead of a publishing platform and community for people.
I see this yearning as well. Addictions are hard to break, and I think itβs obvious social media and the corporate web have addictive properties, by design. Thereβs no panaceas, but there are real, owned, humanistic alternatives. Blogging is one.
